Voice for agents that work while you are not watching

The whole value of an agent is that you can stop watching it. The whole problem is that you then have to keep checking whether you can.

The checking problem

An agent that runs for eight minutes has given you eight minutes back, in theory. In practice you spend them glancing at a terminal, because the only way to know whether it finished, failed, or stopped to ask you something is to look.

Worse is the case where it stopped to ask. A session blocked on a permission prompt is doing nothing at all, and it will keep doing nothing until you happen to look at it. Twenty minutes of nothing is a common way to lose twenty minutes.

What a voice fixes and what it does not

It fixes the direction of the interruption. Instead of you checking on the agent, the agent tells you: when it is done, and when it needs a decision. You get the eight minutes.

It does not make the agent better at its job, and it does not make its output correct. What Cyan Voice reads out is generated by Claude and can be wrong, exactly as it can be wrong on screen.

Watching several at once

Running more than one session is where the checking problem multiplies. Cyan Voice keeps them in one place: hover the notch and see what every session is doing, which one is waiting on you, and how much of your Claude limit is left. No dock icon, no window.

Which agents

Claude Code, today. It is built on Claude Code's hooks, which is what lets it know what a session is actually doing rather than scraping a terminal for clues. Other agents would need the same kind of access to be supported honestly.

No. It reads out what the agent wants to do and passes on your answer. Ignoring it is always safe.

No. It listens for events and speaks; it does not sit between the agent and its work.
