Talk to Claude Code, and hear it answer

Typing is a fine way to write code and a poor way to ask a question you already know the words to.

Two ways to start talking

• Say a wake phrase. "Hey Claude", or a phrase of your own. Cyan Voice answers, and the microphone stays open.
• Press a key. A hotkey you choose, for when the room is not quiet enough to be talking to a computer.

Saying which project

Name it, and that is where your words go. "In outshow, run the tests" reaches that session; saying nothing about a project keeps it with Cyan Voice itself. The panel shows where the words are headed while you are still speaking, so a misheard project name is something you see before it becomes something you undo.

Answering without starting again

After Cyan Voice finishes speaking, the microphone stays open for a few seconds. Replying is just talking: no hotkey, no wake phrase, no going back to the keyboard. If you say nothing, it closes.

When it asks you something

A session stopped at a permission prompt is a session doing nothing. Cyan Voice reads out what it wants to do, waits, and passes on your answer. Yes and no work. So does ignoring it, which is always safe.

Common questions

Can I change the wake phrase?

Yes. "Hey Claude" is the default and you can add your own phrases or remove the ones you do not use.

Does it listen all the time?

Only when you have wake phrases switched on, and the audio is processed on your Mac. You can turn wake phrases off entirely and use the hotkey instead.

What if it mishears the project name?

The panel shows the destination while you are still speaking, so you can stop before anything is sent.

Can it answer permission prompts for me automatically?

No. It asks you and passes on what you say. It never decides on your behalf.
